Smoke'n eye or Smokey eye

I LOVE A DEEP SULTRY SMOKEY EYE! So, I decided when I was getting ready for work to document my steps. Its really easy and can look good on ANY eye, as long as you fit it to YOUR eye.

Step 1. Your eye should be clean and freshly washed(you should wash your face every morning!)

Step 2. Prime your eye. SO very important. Primer keeps your shadow on and looking fabulous all day long!

Step 3. Pick out your shadows. I used my "naked" pallet from Urban Decay.

Step 4. Put your brown shadow in your crease and or all over your eye to back the rest of your makeup. Mirror it on the bottom of your eye too. I used Horse, from the "Naked" pallet.

Step 5. Keep everything shaded together. This is VERY important.

Step 6. Brow Shade. I used Sin and Virgin. Like always. They are both from the "Naked" pallet.

Step 7. Grab your black shadow. I used my Buxom shadow stick. Its amazing and it comes with perfect smokey eye brush.

Step 8. Line the eye with black. Start out small. Its okay to add but its to hard to remove black.

Step 9. Repeat step 5.

Step 10. Highlight your brow bone. I used my Cargo highlighter pen in "Campaign"

Step 11. Repeat highlight in the inner corner of eye.

Step 12. The Finishing step. Add TONS of mascara and line your inner rim. Also, make sure you blend everything so it looks seamless, giving the effect of "smoke".

There you have it! the perfect smokey eye! SO easy right!

Happy Thanksglitter

Today is a time to be thankful for you're Family, Friends, Faith, Life and anything else important to YOU. I've been so blessed with having a great manager at work that let me take 3 whole days off from work! AMAZING, I KNOW!

I love being with my family. They always make me feel so extra blessed. I have a great sister in law that's always so welcoming to my family, we traveled to her and my brothers house for the holiday. Along with my family, her family came too! and we just got done eating, playing wii, and doing our Christmas craft. Its been a fabulous time that has gone by way to fast! But, I took Video and plenty of Pictures so I have memories I will never forget.

A special little surprise came from my sister today too. She knows I have a little obsession with glitter and took a picture of her dessert..."why?" you ask. ....TAKE A LOOK!

p.s I willlllll be owning it and sister, if you read this or when I should say..., THIS would be a GREAT present for me!

*YUMMM YESSSSS that is GLITTER on her cupcake! TO. DIE. FOR.

Befor and Afters

Not to long ago (literally), I posted about my friend dying her hair brown and how change affects your life.

**UPDATE**

In class the next day a girl came up to her and asked her if she changed something. Kelsey said yes that she had dyed her hair brown. The GIRL classmate then proceeded to tell her that,"don't take this wrong and its not that you didn't look good be for but now, you look hot!"

I'm sooo happy with how Kelsey's hair turned out! I'm NOT saying that if you want to look hot that you need to dye your hair brown! But, sometimes change can help you feel more confident, helps you BE more confident! That's all I think is important, if your happy with yourself in any way, shape or form then you will brighten others around you. Attitude is the most important thing in life. I don't mean being sassy or being rude, I mean being positive and uplifting, having positive thoughts and uplifting actions. I'm reading a book called Attitude is everything and I LOVE IT! Inside it includes, "10 life-changing steps to turning attitude into action". Right after I started reading it I felt a change inside me. I felt more confident that the decisions I were making in my life were helping me better others around me. I was bring glitter to all my friends and, in return I was being blessed with their glitter, even if they didn't know it.

*This is a picture of the book, which can be found HERE

Here is a before and After of me with my hair change. I think its funny.

begins with your skin.

~Hello there love. Yes you, the fine looking pink skin cleaning machine. You are the love of my life!

That is what I say daily to this little thang. I call her Clariy and she is the best money I've ever spent! (don't tell Lily, my dog!) Why? you might ask. Clariy cleans my skin twice a day so as you might think "we" spend allot of time together. I also count on her to keep my skin looking in TIP TOP shape, which she does...if I may say so my self! I bought her about a year ago and I've never looked back! She deep cleans my skin while gently exfoliating EVERY TIME! and SHE DOESN'T complain. What a gem.

Seriously, this little brush has changed my skin. I know that as I age my skin will be tighter and brighter. It may sound cheesy but as a licenced Esthetician I've seen gimmicks and take home "facials" and all that jazz but a Clarisonic to me isn't just a cool thing to have but its a must have for an optimal skin care routine. It can be added into any ones daily doings, it is not gender or age specific and only take 60 seconds! THAT'S ONE MINUTE! Run out and grab yourself one for Chrismahanukwanzakah! Yeah I just used that word.

p.s Great skin makes for a GREAT canvas when you apply your make up. Healthy skin, Healthy you.

I whip my hair back and forth

Today I colored my best friend Kelsey's hair! Doesn't she look great! Its always fun to change up your style and try new things. It wasn't to long ago that I took the Brunette jump! I'll tell you what, I'm loving it! The first time I went "brown" I hated it! Something about being 16 and brunette felt wrong, crazy I know! Now that I'm 21 I see being Brunette as being sexy. Being "natural" feels great. NOT that I don't miss being blond EVERYDAY! trust me I do. Being blond and being brunette is so different, maybe I'm the only one that feels that way, though I don't think I am. There is something empowering about change, especially changing yourself. When you change your look its at your hands, its not like when you have to change jobs or change weight even. When you change your look, you have complete control, you decide how it makes you act, feel and do.

Tonight I challenge you to change something about yourself. Take that change and CONTROL it, work it, love it, do it.

MORE glitter, please.

When I wear my makeup like this to work I get a TON of compliments. I think the reason is, any age can wear glitter this way. On the pictures below I show you right where you apply the glitter. I used my new "midnight cowboy" glitter from Urban Decay. My eyeshadow is Virgin, sin and a little bit of sidecar from the Naked pallet from Urban Decay. All the products I used can be found at Sephora, of course!

**pictures to come.

Another GREAT place to add glitter is on your nails! This is one of my favorite nail polishes right now! It too can be found at your local Sephora! the name is so perfect for holiday, "Looks like rain deer". Don't you love it!?!

All that Glitters is GLAM

Welcome to MY brand new blog! Here I hope to inspire you to try new things and think out side the box. You only live once, why not add a bit of glitter?

Here are some fabulous things you can do to add a touch of glitter into your daily routine.

#1.Add glitter to your Lashes!! False lashes that is.

Never be afraid of false lashes, they are truly a girls best friend. If you are nervous about these little ladies check out this tutorial on lashes, LASHES!
#2.Glitter Liner! This is probably the easiest and best known way to wear glitter.

Using Glitter to line the eye is great for parties, holiday events and for that little extra sparkle for a special night.
#3. Decoration!

Here we used eyeliner to make different colored dots on Kelsey's face and applied the glitter right on top. I also used the glitter to make a "cat eye".
*Here are a few of my FAVORITE glitter liners. They are from Urban Decay, which can be purchased at Sephora, I bought these three wonders for myself just this very day!
Urban Decay Heavy Metal
Cat Fight
Midnight Cowboy
Air Guitar
